Raisin and sultana buns

Yum yum give sum to mum!!!

Makes 12 buns



1 kg prepared bread dough (from your local bakery)

15 ml (1 Tbsp) ground cinnamon

125 ml (75g) SAFARI raisins

125 ml (75g) SAFARI sultanas



500 ml (2 cups) fresh cream

250 ml (1 cup) castor sugar

15 ml (1 Tbsp) ground cinnamon



1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

2. Let the bread dough rise until double in size by placing it in a plastic bag in the warm sun. Roll out the dough on a floured surface, to about 28 x 38 cm in size.

3. Sprinkle surface with the cinnamon. Sprinkle the sultanas and raisins evenly over the cinnamon on dough.

4. Roll the dough up ´Swiss roll style´, from the short side and slice into pinwheels, about 2 cm thick. Layer in an oven pan of about 24 x 34 cm.

5. Sauce: Combine the cream and sugar together and heat slightly for the sugar to dissolve. Add cinnamon to cream mixture and pour over the buns in pan.

6. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
